Nowadays, if you visit YouTube (which is the second most searched website on the internet and the most crowded video platform), you will see thousands of videos regarding motivational topics, good life, and healthy life. And what will they say? The same repeated words like sleep for eight hours, start your own business, be an alpha, do not give a shit about a relationship, and many more things. These were the words I listened to repeatedly when I was feeling low in my life and browsing YouTube for the solution to my low energy life. These are the videos that will give you a sudden boost to your brain, like caffeine, and within a week, you will again feel low. Do you know why? Okay, I will explain it to you.

Actually, these motivational speakers are using words that were used by the caption of a ship to its people, who are facing a storm at midnight in the ocean, or the commander to his soldiers who are going to fight the war. Do you ever wonder why commanders always address the soldiers before sending them to war?

Believe it or not, some types of words work like coffee. It will give you a sudden boost in your mind, and you will feel energetic. But after some time, you again feel low because you forgot the word. After some time, when you become normal, your current situation and your mindset will again torture you because the so-called motivational speaker did not know your problem. He did not tell you how you will solve the problem in your life, why this happened to you, and how you will come out of it. Yes, this is the main reason you feel low in life again. And after that, these speakers will try to sell you their courses, books, and membership programs. Oh, God!!

I am not saying that everyone is doing business, but most of them are. So how can I say that most motivational speakers are fake gurus or businessmen just selling their stuff to you? Okay, let me explain and I will also explain to you why there are so many motivational speakers on the internet nowadays.

First things first: Using social media, reaching out to a person has become very easy. For example, you can open a YouTube channel very easily. And start uploading the content to it. But believe me or not, talking about life and philosophy is the easiest niche. I mean, even a beggar can give you advice about how you can become a millionaire by doing hard work. If you do not believe me, then go to the paan shop or tea (tapri) shop. You will see this type of person. I just want to say that talking about this subject and actually applying it to life is very different. And if anybody knows that you can also earn real cash from this shit-talking, then why do they not want to make money out of it?

Their profession appears to be that of a businessman rather than that of a motivational speaker attempting to sell their wares to the customer. So what should we do? Should we ignore these motivational speakers?

I can’t say “YES” or “NO”, but once Gautam Buddha said to his disciple that —

“Do not believe anything or anyone’s advice. Even if it is said by your elders, God, or me, Inspect that advice, do research on that, and if you think the advice is right for you, accept it and apply it to your life. If not, then reject it.”

So you should definitely apply the Gautam Buddha quote to your life. Listen to everyone and try to validate their advice. If you think that person’s advice is worthwhile, then apply it to your life and if not, then reject it.

For the bonus point, I want to write one quote from Sadhguru Jaggi Vasudev. That is —

“Just concentrate on your breath. Anything you wish will happen. “

Thanks for the reading, don’t forget to write your thought on this.
